What we collect

When you contact us or request an estimate, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the city or address of the property, and whatever you tell us about the work you want done. If you go ahead and become a client, we also keep records relating to your estimate, the job itself, and payment.

When you use this website, we collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived here. We use cookies and similar technology for this, which is covered further down.

If you call us, we may keep a record of the call including the number you called from, so we can follow up properly and understand which of our advertising is working.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and arrange an estimate. To prepare and send you a written scope and quote. To carry out and manage work you hire us for, including scheduling, invoicing and warranty. To send you occasional updates or offers where you have agreed to receive them. To understand which of our advertising and marketing actually brings in enquiries. And to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we never will.

Text messages

If you tick the consent box on our form, we may send you text messages about your estimate or your job. You can stop these at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. We will not send you marketing texts unless you have separately agreed to receive them.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it to do their job. These include our customer management and scheduling software, our email and text messaging providers, our website analytics and advertising platforms, and our payment and accounting providers.

Some of these providers store and process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, which means that information may be accessible to authorities in those countries under their laws. We choose providers who apply appropriate protections, but you should know this before you send us your details.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as it is useful to follow up, and client records for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or destroy it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including limiting who within our business can see it. No system is completely secure, but we treat your information as carefully as we would want ours treated.
